This is a beautifully written and intricately woven story. The characters and places in the novel - while fictional - bring to life a country deeply misunderstood in the post 9/11 United states, painting a vivid portrait. I did have difficulty following how the second to last chapter fit into the narrative at large, but otherwise I loved this book. Highly recommended.
