I don't even know where to start. This book was okay, I guess. Nothing special. It started very slowly for me, I'd say I was rather bored until passing the first 100 pages, which is, again as I mentioned with We Were Liars, almost half of the book. I wouldn't say that this was a bad book to read, but I was waiting for something more to come. I'm the type of person who must connect to and like the characters to some extent to stay invested in the story, but this is not that type of a book. Carrie was neutral for me; sometimes I was annoyed with her, sometimes I thought she was over-dramatic (especially with the parts where Lockhart put unnecessary line breaks...why?!), even sorry for her, but mostly I felt really distant from any of the characters of this book. I guess, maybe this was the writer's intention, but this type of writing just doesn't tick the boxes for me. Again, this wasn't a bad reading experience, but I'll probably forget about it in a couple of weeks.
