if you pick this one up, i highly recommend reading via audiobook - such a great experience. i felt like i was listening to a play 

i was rooting for the main character throughout this novel, not only to excel at the goals she was attempting to achieve following the loss of her job during the great recession, but also to learn the life lessons she needed to, to have the chance to reconcile the relationship with her son which was harmed because of her own lack of understanding of how to mother as a result of the way she was mothered, and to be empowered and recognize the strengths within herself
