The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
5.0
Fantastic but very realistic journey. Following Kvothe through the ups and downs of his young life journey to learn about the Chandrian and the name of the wind. Ambrose is an awful character, time in Tabean haunting to say the least, but the comradery of his school mates, the romance with Denna and his wild courageous adventures and exploits leaves one hungry for the next book in the series. Traditionally, I have been shy to approach novels of this length but Rothfuss makes it entirely worth it. I already put my bookmark in the beginning of A Wise Man's Fear and am also already anxiously awaiting the third book of the chronicles. I highly recommend putting your world aside in exchange for the wisdom and life lessons which Kvothe and Rothfuss put on display in this epic novel.
