Overall I enjoyed this Mulan re-telling. Was it perfect? No. At times it felt a little rushed and left me with questions. However, I like Meilin and the characters. The magic system was cool and different. I’m curious to see how the love interests play out and to have a bit more of the details fleshed out. Will def read the sequel.
