Really enjoyed the book. The first half was definitely a slow start but it did pick up in the second half, which I felt was needed. I liked the strong female protagonist but felt that her relationship with Tamlin moved really quickly and was kind of surface level, considering how much she loathed him at the start. 

I really enjoyed the world building aspects, though, and I’m excited to read the rest of the series.

Am I supposed to like Tamlin? I was really unimpressed with him as the love interest. He didn’t do anything to help Feyre in the entire second half of the book. He doomed his court by sending her away and she literally got more help from Lucien and Rhysand and they weren’t even the ones in love with her?? Why did he do nothing but try to hook up with her, which would have literally gotten her into more trouble with Amarantha??? Literally makes no sense to me. Tamlin is giving “ick”, he’s just kind of whiney and selfish in that regard. It’s like he expected her to just die and was like “okay I guess that’s all I can do”
