I wish I could make this review feel like a letter to a lover or a dear friend and since I loved every minute of the journey this book led me, I will try my best to do just that.
The moment I first discovered this book, I knew, I had to have it.
Without knowing , i`ve longed to read a story like this for my whole life. A Story we have heard hundreds of times where we didn't know we needed it told in a different way. But now that I have read it, I don't know how I can ever think of this story any different.
If you are looking for a good sapphic YA book, which also retells the story of Aurora and how we got to know it, this is the right book for you. It is an easy read and pulls you right in after just a few pages.
I had a moment where I just had to let out a few tears, it brought me so much joy, how this isn't the same bloomy, heteronomative story we have heard since we were children. To see this story told from another perspective, another pov was delightful to read.
I didn't want to finish this book, I wanted it to never end. Leaving Aurora and our Alyce was hard and I can't wait to get part 2 into my hands.
