¡Hola Papi!: How to Come Out in a Walmart Parking Lot and Other Life Lessons
by John Paul Brammer
Thoughts
Don't let the cover of this one fool you. This is a heavy memoir.
From the constant bullying to learning to understand who he was as a mixed Queer man, this book is filled with heartbreak.
But there is also hope in him realizing that he doesn't need to be a stereotype of anything to be who he is. He can just be. He can wear the clothes he wants and eat the foods he wants and that doesn't make him any less Mexican or Queer.
This was a really great memoir but check the trigger warnings before reading this one.
