Knot All is Forgiven
by Holly Monroe
Waffled between a 3 and 4 here, landed on a 3.5 I enjoyed this overall, but I didn't quite connect with it in the way that I did the first one. I think it's because emotionally most of the important stuff happens off page in large (and random) time hops- the pain, the longing, the anguish, so it makes the stakes feel so much lower than in book one emotionally - even though in theory it's been 13 years of distance and heartache. But it doesn't quite FEEL like that- it seems more so told because again the hard parts of this all happen off page. I did like the characters, and there is a lot of grovel (though I found some of it unimpressive bc the guys were so passive, perhaps because our omega here is a bit more dominant). Ultimately, there isn't really. much other plot other than time hopping and grovel, the conflict is being the omega so late and their big mistake- and by the time we finally got to the forgiveness sand heat it felt so drug out that I was almost less invested in it. Things also didn't really feel fully tied up with Cyrus to me. Ultimately, I liked it okay but didn't LOVE it like the first book, and started getting a little disengaged towards the end when the good stuff (sexually) started to happen and then it was just over.
