Superior Iron Man, Volume 1: Infamous by Tom Taylor

4.0

Originally coming out in 2015 tied to the AXIS event. You don’t need to read AXIS to read this book Tony Stark has become more arrogant, selfish, about making money, and being vein than helping people. Making an app that makes everybody beautiful but it’s prohibitively expensive and makes San Francisco a police state. Making San Francisco a tech billionaire police state. If you told me, this came out in 2022. I would believe you because it fits in with the very modern view of the text billionaire. This also is early in Tom Taylor’s career before he became more well-known for books at DC. You can tell even early in his career, he knew the core of characters and how to write them very well. Tom Taylor is very good at writing a arrogant selfish Tony Stark, you don’t like but it’s fun to read. Most of this volume is tony stark versus Daredevil I enjoyed the back-and-forth. I don’t like the use of medical, amnesia plot to wrap it up, and the final issue being an origin story of teen abomination who is the recurring antagonist for this book. The art is solid, I love the chrome Symbiot Iron Man suit design and how look at me it is. So if you enjoyed superior Spider-Man, or like a more antagonistic main character you’ll enjoy this book
