So why did she still feel empty?
for a debut ya fantasy, this was okay. i liked the yearning and the asian culture and representation but other than that, this was mediocre and underwhelming. it started off strong but nothing significant happens until the last 25% of the book; but by then, i couldnt care less about the characters and the plot. i found the writing to be too flowery for my own liking that it sounded pretentious at times. Just like Juliette, I too felt nothing when the monster dies.
