Back in the early 2000s, an ex boyfriend told his friends he was worried that I was going to put a curse on him.
He had wronged me by lying and cheating, and then lying about the lying and cheating, and this was his bizarre way of deflecting responsibility from his behavior. Over tear-stained wine glasses and cups of tea, my friends offered pep talks and righteous indignation on my behalf. If only I possessed the skills to actually curse the guy…
This is why I immediately felt a kinship with Vivi and Gwen, who place an actual curse on Vivi’s ex, who did her wrong. I think Vivi and Gwen would fit right in our crew. Except that Vivi and Gwen are actually magically gifted, and their magic is effective. We did make sure he got some bad restaurant service, but that was the extent of it.
The story of Vivi, Gwen and Rhys, is a kitschy, witchy, sexy romcom that is perfect for those moments when you need to remember that not all guys are the 19 year old Rhys.
