I actually remember when this book came out (I think). And yet I never read it until it was chosen for my book club. I was drawn in because of the creepy stalker voyeur in me, but then I loved it because I had no idea where it was going, which is unusual. It's not always necessary, and perhaps aside from the uniqueness of the characters, this is nothing more than a family drama, but for whatever reason, I found the Binewskis' story wonderful, dreadful, repulsive and wondrous. The last section, with Oly describing herself in a myriad of fabulous prose-- wow.
Maybe the best book about loneliness ever.
