It's a compilation of random stories about the main/side characters. There's no plot whatsoever even though it attempts to focus on the romance between Hitomi and Takeo. But I think it was written that way, so it would be lighthearted and easy to read. I wasn't that satisfied with the ending because I wanted more of Hitomi and Takeo.
