I’m not intrinsically motivated to pick up a detective/murder mystery, but this seemed like my best option in a reading challenge category and I was surprisingly quickly invested in the stories of these girls and women. It threw in some supernatural details and the genre bending made it a good pick for me after all! I was on the edge of my seat, the twists and perspective changes were so good, couldn’t put it down. The anonymous chapters made my skin crawl. And there’s a brand new sequel so nothing’s stopping me to just continue reading.
