Maybe Cleo is a sociopath maybe she isn't. But she's not empty. Cleo is actually very, very sad and very, very lonely.
I did not expect this to be so sad and for me to actually cry so much because of this book?? They writing style is similar to MY Husband which I loved. I love authors who can be in their characters heads so much but never leave the audience trapped their. Yes, we are in Cleao's head but Ventura still releases Cleo into the world fully to enrich her characterization and development. This book absolutely does not feel that long and I appreciated that it was longer than My Husband because we get so much time with Cleo's twisted psychology and Cleo is so richly developed I was stressed reading.
