A Lesson in Thorns
by Sierra Simone
2.5 ⭐
I love Sierra Simone's writing style and the way she intertwines religion and sex. I find it fascinating. Every time I read a book by her I seriously learn new things and I am able to see both religion and sex from a different perspective, which is so interesting to me and I appreciate that very much.
With all that being said, the whole story in A Lesson in Thorns wasn't very interesting. The characters were kinda... idk... strange? Maybe? I didn't really sympathize with any of them. Maybe with Saint... just a little. Maybe because he was the outsider. I still wanna know what's the origin of the feud between Saint and Auden, so I will keep reading.
