I liked this book far better than the last one. I´m enjoying all the new characters that Rick is introducing us. I love how feral Meg can be, how gay Apollo is, how endearing Josie and Emmie are...
I´m not sure if Leo and Calypso worked for me, but honestly, I expected as such. The new settings are fun, I loved seeing Thalia again, and the freaking karpoi. I think I´m grasping more and more what this saga is about, and how Rick is approaching these themes of regret and guilt. Apollo is an incredible character, he´s already one of my favorites. He´s such a loser, and I say that with love.
