Compared to Pretty Girls, False Witness was lacking in brutality and gore. But, that might just be a blessing in disguise.
False Witness is in no way inferior to Slaughter's other standalone novel. False Witness caught my attention from the first page and I devoured this novel fairly quickly. I love both Callie and Leigh and their bond was just so unique, different from Pretty Girls. My favorite has to be Callie as she presented a somber picture on drug addiction, where she has totally given up hope on quitting. I admired their dynamic as well since the two sisters brought out the best in eacch other.
