I think that at one point in my life I had already started reading this book and put it down. I'm glad I stuck through it this time. The main character's life was soccer and that theme stayed consistent throughout the book. I liked that she would compare the difficulties in life to the sport because it was something that she could relate to. It is very hard to understand how a person could give up or throw away a baby. However, the author handles the situation with care and really tries to describe the young mother's experience.
