You’re pushing the boundaries forward. Reshaping morality. Drawing a new line in the sand while nobody else is watching…

The messaging of this slasher is definitely on the nose and a bit over the top but what it lacks in subtlety it makes up for in terms of the kills and the character development throughout. This is a fun summer slasher read and I did like the overall message that you can’t stop progress (despite how much some may try) 🔪🤡🔪

I will say the one aspect I thought was a bit shoehorned in in terms of character development was the one queer relationship which there was no build up to ahead of time. I wish we would have gotten a bit more to hint at Cole and Rust’s feelings towards each other before the very end. I hope they build this up in terms of the movie portrayal a bit more so we’ll see.
