Blame it on the Champagne
by Fiona Cole
I want to experience this again
First and foremost I think everyone would agree that Vera’s father is the literal worst, my jaw was undo a bunch of times because of him, especially at the end. Nico more than makes up for the atrocity that is her father. Phew the man can almost do no wrong. Seriously though, where can I get one. One of my favorite scenes was the hiring scene it was very humor to me because the interviewees were shameless. Big props to Vera though for always doing what she though was right in tough situation. I loved her as a heroine and never once thought she did anything annoying. The honeymoon? Absolutely no words. I only wish it was real and that I was there instead. Also the grand gesture? Swoon! One of my favorite arranged marriage books to date. Phenomenal read!
