I like Fable the character. I think she's quietly brave and strong, unlike some of the brash, loud-mouthed, "not like other girls" heroines that we usually get in this genre. I also like the short and sweet aspect of the plot. It's sort of inconsequential and small at first, then takes on a bigger significance later in the book.

However, the connection between her and West is not nearly developed enough to be obsessed over. It seems to pop up out of nowhere, honestly. Also, what the hell is a gem sage?
