MMC protects FMC from a drug lord. The book is well-paced action wise but her TSTL decisions especially when it concerns her brother (that ended the relationship) are wtf. He's great though, he never stopped caring and had always protected her from afar. A bit domineering, but I get why. The romance is rebuilt amidst danger and on the whole, it works well enough for me. A entertaining quick read but would benefit from a stronger FMC.
