The House Guest by Hank Phillippi Ryan

2.0

Towards the end of the book the MC, Alyssa, refers to herself as 'a complete, hopeless, idiot.' So accurate, if you enjoy reading books about characters that make the most ridiculous decisions then pick this one up.
Apart from that, the friendships that were made through the book happened so quickly I thought the book had covered a few weeks, but no, at one point it was mentioned that it had only been five days. Five days and this person is living with you and knows all your secrets... I couldn't buy into it.
The story itself jumps around at times, to the point that more than once I flipped back a few pages thinking I had skipped some by accident.
The ending felt thrown together, with information and events provided to wrap it all up that had never been mentioned previously.
