For the first 70% of this book, the three Blue sisters are destroying themselves and their relationships in the wake of their fourth sister’s death. They were the worst…to each other, to themselves, to everyone around them. It was tough to read, and yet I couldn’t put it down. The writing kept me turning pages, and there were enough glimmers of love and care and goodness that it kept me hoping the sisters would find their way through their grief and back to each other. The ending made it worth it. I loved it. It felt real and grounded but also redemptive and hopeful.
