God! I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest. This book was EVERY. FREAKIN’. THING. Can’t express how much love I have for it. Gaaaahhhh! I could not put it down.This story has all the feels but I’m struggling to find all the words to express how much I loved it! River is not at all the person that he’s made Ana believe him to be. My heart bled for him and his struggles. He comes off as a jerk yet, as he and Ana spend more and more time together, we find him to be multi-layered and deeply loyal, caring and thoughtful. There were so many conflicted feelings portrayed in this story and River was immensely self-disciplined. However, as time went on, there was only so much restraint that he could keep holding on to because Ana was temptation personified. I really liked her. She was confident in her appearance to dress any way she liked and also really smart. I think she wanted to matter to someone; she wanted to be put first. The chemistry and connection between them was vibrant and so alive. I found them absolutely thrilling together! I loved the arc of the story and where it took the reader, as we discover moments between River and Ana that lead us to the ending, which was sweet and perfect!
