Lost for Words by Edward St Aubyn
3.0
A quick, light read-I read it in one evening.
There are a lot of characters, with humorous excerpts.
I enjoy a fellow review, “ you cannot help but feel St. Aubyn had more fun writing this than we have reading it.”
I enjoyed the satirical insights into how a panel selects books of the year. The selection process, the maneuvering, the judge’s insights, and the writer’s desired. It was all an amusing literary exploration.
Overall, I wasn’t enamored by any of the characters. I didn’t find myself rooting for anyone or any book in particular, I just read to find out what happened versus being invested.
