Yeah, I loved this book. I absolutely devoured it. The intensity and emotion is easily felt throughout the entire story and we finally get the satisfaction of Kai and Pae finally acknowledging their feelings for each other. The slow burn established in the first book is finally a full fire. This book perfectly sets up the next in the sequel because there are so many unanswered questions that immediately make me want to start reading the next book - how is Calum Kitt’s advisor? Why did Kitt propose to Pae? What is Kai going to do? How will the truth about the Ordinaries not being diseased going to unravel? I will say, the constant traveling back and forth did start to wear on me (there were moments when I was just ready for them to go back to Ilya). However, the tension and emotional battle between Kai and Pae definitely overshadowed any potential weariness because this book was all about character development (with some steep plot development happening in the end). This book also satisfied the need for more Kai.
