Every time I thought I knew what would happen, I was totally wrong. I loved that it wasn't completely predictable and I was into the story from the start. There are some moments where it's very obvious that it's YA, but they didn't take me out of the story if that makes sense. It is a very dark subject matter. If death is not something you can read about then steer clear. However, I did not think it was gratuitous and it fit in the plot.
