Demons Do It Better by Louisa Masters

4.0

I knew I'd love this when the author compared hellhounds to golden retrievers. (And in this world, they are very similar.)

Honestly, no idea why I decided to read this book, because I've never been much of a shifter/paranormal fan. ::looks at books-read lists:: OK, that may be changing, but still, they aren't my first choice when I'm looking through my TBR. But something about this one grabbed me.

Loved: the banter, the characters, the romance, the world-building.

Personal quibbles: like a lot of first-in-series, there's a lot of exposition to set up everything. It was enough to pull me away from the plot. Also, the mystery behind everything was a bit confusing for me at points.

I'm looking forward to the next in the series.
