just wanna start by saying that on the off chance someone reads this before having read the book... please, please, please look at the trigger warnings!!
i have a lot of feelings towards this book. it was utterly heartwrenching and so brutally powerful. there are so many lessons to take away from it.
i so desperately want to give this 5 stars. but there's something about the ending that doesn't quite sit right with me. i can't put my finger on it tho... she left Ryle, she has a beautiful daughter and is happy, she's finally reunited with Atlas. but there's just something deep in the pit of my stomach that is missing and i wish i could figure out what my issue is.
that shouldn't take away from how incredible the book is. Lily is an amazing character, so imperfectly human and so strong.
