The Chestnut Man

Pfft this one has really tested credibility
There is a storyline, just not one of any real sense. The characters do provoke strong feelings. The killings seem unfathomable - thats because everything before the unmasking of the perpetrator is just a mass of red herrings. I was very disappointed with the ending a scene from which nobody should have escaped but everyone does. A mystery that nobody should have been able to solve but hey ho the good officers Thulin and Hess save the day. What i cannot work out is how.
The writing feels like a collage of lacerated paper. Nothing really has any connection to anything else and the author has just decided to paste it together in his own fashion. the violence and sexual deviance is not for me I certainly won't be reading any more it is far too dark for my tastes
