Roadside Picnic by Arkady Strugatsky, Boris Strugatsky

4.0

I have never, NEVER, EVER had a book make me go through so many emotions in a short amount of time. It made me feel so much for a character(s)...them bitches.

The intro to the book was a radio interview that basically explain what has happened, the little bit of history, and the zones before jumping straight in which was very smart and hooked me in instantly.

Though I must admit there was the odd style and terms that were a little confusing, only because it didn't explain in the beginning (for example), what an empty was. I kinda know now, but I don't at the same time lol.

Don't get me wrong, the book and story were still amazing. I can see where the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games came from.

I think everyone should give this book a huge chance because of the images that it put into my mind explaining and describing. still gives me chills.
