The Country of the Blind: A Memoir at the End of Sight by Andrew Leland

informative reflective medium-paced

3.5

Like with most memoirs, the strength of the book is the author's personal experiences and reflections. I appreciated how open the author was with sharing his journey.

Many of the sections that talk about larger issues facing blind folks were informative, but that kind of non-fiction isn't as memorable to me.

I can tell I wasn't as engaged in this book because it took me almost three weeks to get through 8 hours of audio.
