Throne of Secrets by Kerri Maniscalco
4.0
3.5 ⭐️ Not as good as the first one...
Still, this was a pretty decent romantasy, even if I kind of couldn't stand the MMC half the time...
The ending and final plot twist of the story was unexpected, but only because it was so boring I don't think anyone could've cooked up a blander outcome without using oats (and if you're a person who loves oats, yes you can take that as a dig on you (jk)- but also, they take like cardboard- and yes, you may be the superior being here when it comes to health but still, I don't eat cardboard for breakfast, so there's that lollll). Ok, ok, I'll stop now, but seriously if you're going to give this book a chance, go in with the expectations of an enemies-to-lovers that's not quite enemies, not quite lovers... I don't know how else to describe that without spoiling anything.
Also, the romantic part of this romantasy doesn't really start until about the 70% mark, which might be what pissed me off the most.
