Getting Kole for Christmas: A Young Adult Novella by Kimberly Krey
2.0
This book was definitely the cheesiest thing I've read in a long while!
I felt very little attachment to any of the characters (although I do think this is typical for a short story like this) and I actually found Kylie to be REALLY annoying. I thought it was quite ridiculous that they were all getting so worked up about a high school dance - life does actually continue after high school! As well as this, I found all the characters to be over dramatic.
In terms of the plot I thought it was a bit boring and REALLY predictable. With that being said, I did FLY through it - I read it in about an hour and a half, and it was fun, but it was so cheesy and often cringey.
The writing was alright, although the some of the dialogue was kind of vomit-inducing.
All in all, this book was a really fun, light read and great for this time of year, but it wasn't really my cup of tea - I think I've outgrown it a bit!
