This book was a waste of my time. I don’t think this should be categorised as dark romance. The plot was okay for the first 30-40% but then it fell off, there was no plot. I read this because I wanted to see what the hype about this underrated mc named Adrian Ellis was about but I’m not seeing what the fuss is about. He’s okay but not memorable.

The cliffhanger at the end was stupid. She left because he couldn’t say “I love you” even though he gave a whole confession on the way he feels about her. He has sociopathic tendencies and he told her “love” is not an emotion he can identity with. But his confession was better than him saying those three words.
Poppy’s character just fell flat. She wasn’t interesting, fun or a character to sympathise with.
