Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

5.0

I decided to re-read this book three days ago because I needed a comfort read.

When I was fifteen, Fangirl was *that* comfort read. Fangirl and Eleanor & Park were the books that continued to push my love for YA (along with The Fault In Our Stars, duh). It's funny how six years later I still feel a connection with this book— maybe it's even stronger now.

I could see my freshmen-year-self in Cath so much. How she's really passionate about her fandom, her struggles with her insecurities, family relationships, and social anxiety, etc. I felt like I was reading parts of my life, and it was so healing (and at moments, hilarious).

Welp, this review couldn't turn out more personal lol. Thank you, Rainbow, for writing this book ❤. I thanked you then, and I thank you now.
