Children of the Arc by Andrew Hughes

4.0

I really enjoyed this short novella.

This is a redemptive story about two soldiers desperate to protect the innocent from the consequences of their feud with powerful and deadly deities.

The characters are brave and capable. The villains are terrifying. I was rooting for the war veterans to succeed.

I would recommend this for younger readers who will enjoy the shorter length, or fantasy lovers who want something quick and punchy. The only downside in my mind is the the short story format, as it didn’t leave room to further develop the characters and provide more world-building.
