Trigger Warning: Child abuse, attempted rape.
I'm not sure how I feel about Ildaria. I didn't like her much before, but at least she's different from most of the other heroines in this series. Except, she too has a tragic backstory. (And is a 200 year old virgin)
I've liked GG for a while, so it was nice to see him again. He wasn't particularly well developed since he got very few pov chapters. He was a good character for the most part, except how he was thinking of abducting and chaining down Ildaria. I loved his dog HD, a Bishonpoo!
At first, I thought they had good chemistry and their relationship had potential, but I'm so sick of all of the relationship building happening in dreams! We're told about several dates they went on, but the only "dates" we see are dreams.
Ildaria working at the restaurant was incredibly boring! The last few books have felt like Nanowrino where the writer is struggling to get their word count up. There's so much that's unnecessary!
I was actually happy when Ildaria was attacked. Unfortunately, then we went back to more stupid romance stuff. (I'm sorry, if I don't like the couple, I don't care about their romance, especially when it's this boring.) There wasn't much story in this one, and only that one action scene. (Aside from the prologue.)
Again, everyone was impressively stupid not to figure out
