The Woods Are Always Watching
by Stephanie Perkins
This book is WILD. The first 100 pages is slow and it seems to be about a friendship falling apart during a camping/hiking trip where neither girl has any clue about either hiking or camping. Since I also have zero clue about these things, these mishaps seemed believable to me. Then BAM! A serial killer shows up. I was willing to go along with this because I know there are horrible people in the world but too much crazy stuff happened after this. By the end, when the person who was horribly injured drove the car, I was laughing out loud. Maybe this would be more enjoyable if you go in thinking it’s just a crazy ride and don’t have any medical knowledge at all. What was fun for me was updating my bestie every hour of the new crazy that had happened in the book.
