Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

3.0

A lovely though sad read perfect for spooky season. I can’t help but feel bad for Frankenstein’s monster and desire yet inability to connect with others because of his appearance. I think it’s an excellent lesson in not judging others by their appearance since the “monster” is so eloquent and kind before becoming monstrous because that’s how he has been treated by others including his own creator. I think it’s a profound treatise on the idea that if you treat someone horribly based of preconceived ideas then they’ll become horrible because of this treatment. Dr Frankenstein got what was coming to him in the end at least.
