This is the first Jane Austen book I have ever read and I enjoyed it well enough. It was funny and sweet at times and Emma is charming as a protagonists and is honest when she messes up. I love Knightley and how he calls her on her shit. I read this because I love Emma adaptations, particularly Clueless and Emma (2020), but I don't know if I see myself revisiting the book. This is one of Austen's longer ones from what I can see and I think it could have been shorter. It slogged on and made it difficult to get through, along with the difficult language. Still fun though. :)
