Okay, this one is hard to review without spoiling at least a little bit. I went into this completely blind and to be honest, I am not sure if that was a good idea, because I was VERY unprepared for what ensued lol This story definitely gave me Dark Tower vibes in that there's a mysterious quest, a group of loveable but ultimately doomed characters, and a evil man (entity?) trying to take over all of the worlds. But where DT gives you multiple books to really get to know these characters and fully engage with the world around them, the Talisman felt like we were on a much shorter time constraint which made it much harder to really grasp who these characters are and why they're there. I enjoyed the parts with Wolf the most, but once he died - I felt like the story took a completely different tone and started to lull. I did really like the ending, though, and can see why people talk about this one a lot! It just wasn't a new favorite for me personally. Maybe the sequel will be better? Only time will tell!
