holy SHIT i was not expecting the plot and ending to move like that. the last third of the book took it from a 3* to 4* for me - it was interesting worldbuilding and setup but i didn’t think it was for me. it actually kept plot twisting in ways i really didn’t expect and as the action and intrigue increased it really hooked me. 

i was not expecting them to actually kill the lord ruler in the first book. or for kelsier to die. or for the rebellion to fail then ultimately succeed
