This story is amazing. I couldn’t put this book down and read it all at once because it’s so intense, I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I wasn’t sure what to expect because a lot of authors write mafia stories but few do it well, although this is Tijan so I should have known better.

Ash and Raize are everything. Their story is steamy, scary and sometimes sad, but it pulls you in from the first page. Girl/Carrie/Ash’s character is so unique, I was hooked immediately. She’s a total badass and she gets better as the story continues. Her instincts are never off, except that she was wrong about Raize being dead inside. He’s a merciless killer and a force to be reckoned with, but she makes him alive again and their chemistry is off the charts.

The supporting cast is compelling too and I couldn’t get enough of Jake. This story is violent, dark and so, so hot, I truly loved everything about it. This is an excellent twist on organized crime, complete with the mob, Russian gangsters and Mexican cartels. I can honestly say this is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time, and I can’t recommend it enough.
