As Bright as Heaven
by Susan Meissner
A well-written novel about the impact of the flu epidemic in Philly in 1918. Each chapter is from the viewpoint of the mother or one of her three daughters, and I thought it was a great way to show how the situation impacted them all in different ways, and the second part is all about how it shaped their futures. A large theme for most of the book is how they view death, and how everyone handles it differently.
