The Game Plan
by Kristen Callihan
Not the worst I've read but definitely not the best either. It was pretty much what I expected, maybe a bit cheesier and melodramatic at parts. I've discovered that I'm actually not into the kind of all-encompassing love where ONLY my lover truly understands me, my friends and family were just to tide me over until I met The One. To me that reeks of unhealthy codependence and the concept scares me rather than turns me on. I did like the character development as it took Ethan and Fiona from totally flat characters to slightly more 3D.
There are a couple things I can't help thinking about.
1. Who the actual fuck does not have a password lock on their phone, let's be real. Especially if you're famous, what the fuck. ESPECIALLY especially if you've got nudes saved.
2. Ethan's piercings...don't seem super realistic for a guy who plays a violent contact sport professionally?? I know there's a bunch of padding but still...well, I don't really know, maybe it's just me overthinking. Personally I would never choose to pierce myself in extremely sensitive and delicate places when I'm expected to full body tackle people for a living.
Overall, a fun time but wouldn't reread.
