Mark of the Empress by M. Dalto

5.0

I received this as an eARC to read for free in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to The Parliament House and M. Dalto for giving me access.

Welcome back to the Empire. Were you hoping for a happy reunion and being welcomed with open arms?

If so, this book is not for you.

Two Thousand Years (TTY) left us with a cliffhanger and now this one was a rollercoaster of twists and turns. A surprise around every corner! Literally! I am still crying over that ending.

This book is also a little slower than TTY, but Dalto still has a way to keep you interested until the last page.

Mark of the Empress does a wonderful job at subtly telling you to not to believe everything you are told. There is always a story to both sides of war.

And now, the most difficult thing for a reader to do, is to wait for book #3.
